Genetic testing has long been synonymous with the haute bourgeoisie. Prevention of diseases (which requires the use of genetic testing) however, has been gaining momentum and is the general trend of modern medicine as opposed to curing the aftereffects. This has uncovered a previously non-critical problem – the need to extend genetic testing to the mass public.
